It is totally up to you. You shouldnt need topical tick and flea treatments if you are using Seresto.

Yes, it does have a ratchet-release mechanism and predetermined breaking point. In the unlikely event of a cat becoming trapped, the cat’s own strength is sufficient to trigger a quick release.
